Shipping & Returns
Shipping Information
Except for prints and unless noted otherwise the fees outlined on this site do not include shipping costs. Shipping is calculated and sent to you after purchase using selected network of postal services that offer reasonable pricing, warranties, and safe delivery for your location. Once approved and paid your artwork will be shipping.
General Shipping Information
For artwork purchased as part of a show or event, shipping or delivery will be handled by the artist, gallery or curator. These details will be provided at the time of purchase.
For artwork purchased directly from Charlotte, shipping is currently available to the USA, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the EU (including Scandinavia), and the UK. When shipping is included within the price, it will be managed via UPS or USPS within the USA, or USPS Express International for all international shipments.
Shipping times vary based on your location. Currently, I am experiencing turnaround times of 3-10 days to most locations, with USPS International to Australia/New Zealand taking 7-28 days. Please allow for potential postal delays. If you need to fast-track your order, express shipping is available at an additional fee during checkout, with estimated delivery times of 1-2 days within the USA and 3-7 days internationally, once shipped (excluding packaging and handling time).
For original artworks, insurance is always purchased to cover the full value of the artwork (excluding shipping costs).
To minimize shipping costs, original artwork is shipped unstretched and rolled (if on canvas). Smaller artworks may be shipped flat-packed where size permits.
If you prefer your artwork to be shipped flat-packed and stretched, this can be arranged for an additional fee when shipping is being organized.
Artwork prints are delivered flat-packed or rolled, depending on size and substrate. Artwork prints are produced on a per-order basis to eliminate waste. Please allow 7-10 days for production, although we often complete orders more quickly. I personally review all prints before shipment to ensure quality. If there are any issues with the final product, I will inform you about the potential impact on timing. Print orders will then be shipped in the next available weekly shipment, following the standard shipping terms.
Important International Shipping Notice
For purchases outside the United States, you may be required to pay customs fees or GST (Goods and Services Tax) based on the total value of the item and your location. While I have made allowances in my pricing for my international audience, all additional fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please research the customs and tax regulations of your destination. I will inform you where I can, but you can also find this information through your country's border control.
Online Scams
Due to the high value of my artwork, I take the threat of online scams seriously. Therefore, no artwork will be shipped until your address has been confirmed and validated, and your payment has been securely processed. By placing an order, you agree that I have the right to question your order based on any unusual circumstances and to deny your purchase if any issues arise with your payment.
Shipping Damage
All artworks are carefully packaged to ensure their safe arrival. I understand how special it is to receive your art piece, and I do everything I can to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Given the financial and sentimental value of these products, all original art shipments include insurance covering the full value of your purchase.
While I have had a good track record with shipments, accidents can happen outside my control. I cannot guarantee that your item will arrive in perfect condition. Should any damage occur during shipping, I cannot be held liable.
For original art damage, please contact me immediately with all relevant information and photographic evidence so we can determine the next steps. All shipment damage claims will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and collectors may be asked to file a claim with the shipping service. If the order is a complete loss, I ask that you return the work to my studio, either in the original packaging or in sturdy packaging purchased from your local post office.
For prints that arrive damaged, it is the purchaser's responsibility to file a claim with the postal service. As I can only control the packaging process, unless the damage is due to faulty packaging, this claim will determine whether you receive a refund. Some bends and small creases are repairable, so please let me know, and I will decide whether the work can be repaired or if a reprint is necessary. These cases will be handled individually, and reprints may require a new shipping fee at the collector's expense. Prints damaged after delivery cannot be replaced, so please take care of your artwork.
Lost Shipments
All original artworks are shipped with a signature required upon delivery. It is the collector's responsibility to ensure the correct address is provided and that someone is available to receive the artwork. Lost shipments of original artwork fall under the responsibility of the purchaser or the shipping company and may or may not be covered by the warranty, depending on the situation.
For lost art print orders, please double-check your address to avoid shipping issues. I cannot replace artworks shipped to the wrong address. If you receive a "delivered" notice from the shipping company but cannot locate the artwork, please contact the shipping company immediately. While I cannot resolve this issue, I will offer you a discounted price on a reprint. If the artwork is returned to my studio, I will happily resend it to you; however, a new shipping fee may be required in some cases.
Returns & Exchanges
At this time, I do not offer returns and exchanges for any work—originals, prints, or textiles—so please choose carefully.
