Upcoming Exhibitions
STILLNESS - 2025
Opening September 4 | The Little Green Gallery | Monte Sano, Huntsville
Bold, gestural, and rooted in movement, Stillness presents a new collection of expressive works by Charlotte Marie Isbell. This series explores the body’s relationship to place—where landscape becomes the mirror and movement the subject.
Through sweeping brushwork and layered abstraction, nature emerges as both literal terrain and emotional metaphor, revealing the way external environments shape internal shifts. Each work is a response to change, to softening, to becoming.
This marks the first public presentation of pieces previously released only through private catalogue.

CANOPY SHYNESS - 2026
Presented in partnership with the Land Trust of North Alabama
Huntsville | Full details coming soon
Expanding into a larger ecological and spatial dialogue, Canopy Shyness is a forthcoming solo exhibition that builds on the gestural language of Stillness while reaching toward new terrain—both conceptually and physically.
Inspired by the quiet phenomenon where tree canopies instinctively avoid touching, the exhibition considers space, contrast, light, and restraint—not just in the land, but in how we move through it. Colour, form, and scale converge to create a multisensory experience, inviting reflection on land stewardship and the beauty of boundaries.
Held in collaboration with the Land Trust of North Alabama, Canopy Shyness will directly support conservation efforts across the region.
