Memory + Presence
When I paint someone who is no longer here, the work becomes less about likeness and more about presence - about what remains.
Using your chosen photograph as a starting point, I create an intuitive portrait that holds the spirit, light, and quiet character of the person you remember. These artworks are painted slowly and approached with sensitivity, intention, and quiet care, allowing space for reflection and for the painting to emerge naturally.
We will connect beforehand about who they were - what made them themselves - so the work carries more than just an image.
The final painting is a one-of-a-kind piece created to honour their life and offer something lasting to those who love them.
About Your Artwork
Your artwork will be painted in oils on linen at around 36x30cm.
It will be finished with a temporary varnish and shipped rolled and unframed. Instructions for future care will be provided with the finished artwork.
Print editions of the artwork will be available exclusively to you at a separate fee if requested.
A 50% deposit secures your commission, with the remaining balance due upon completion prior to shipping. If secured prior to the 26th February, work can begin as early as 1st March with completion within three months.
Estimate shipping to Australia is usually between 3-4 weeks, unless you choose express shipping.
