of its residents are forever enriched by
nature's enduring embrace.

LAND TRUST OF NORTH ALABAMA

CANOPY
SHYNESS

Art Exhibition / Experience 2026

Canopy Shyness is a forthcoming solo art exhibition inspired by the quiet phenomenon in which tree canopies instinctively avoid touching—allowing light and resources to nourish the ecosystems below.

Expanding her latest work into a broader ecological and spatial dialogue, Charlotte will explore movement, contrast, light, and restraint, not only within the land, but in how
we move through it.

Curated in partnership with the Land Trust of North Alabama, color, form, and scale will converge to create a multi-sensory contemporary art experience—inviting our region to reflect on land stewardship and the quiet beauty of boundaries.

This proposal outlines a rare opportunity to align with a project of both substance and awe: a collaboration with a respected conservation organization and an internationally recognized and collected artist, designed to directly support land preservation efforts across the region.

An Immersive
Art Experience

We see an immersive experience that brings awe to art, nature and our own human connection to both.
A reflective, uplifting space of curiosity and beauty.
Where guests connect in new ways to the idea of stewardship of our beautiful land.

Art Show Space Proposal

PURPOSE:
This proposal outlines a potential partnership between Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate, The Land Trust of North Alabama, and artist Charlotte Marie Isbell to host an immersive art exhibition that highlights the intersection of space, nature, and community experience.

By opening the doors of a Crunkleton property to this thoughtfully curated event, the project would welcome The Land Trust’s esteemed patrons, Charlotte Marie Isbell collectors, and members of the public into a unique environment—one that reflects Huntsville’s evolution as a city that values innovation, creativity, and cultural enrichment. This collaboration offers an opportunity to activate a space in a meaningful way, while fostering dialogue between diverse sectors of the community.

REQUEST:
We’re seeking a unique, somewhat unexpected—but suitablespace to host this immersive exhibition. To bring this vision to life, we are inviting Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate to sponsor the event by generously providing a space for the exhibition, ideally in either Spring or Fall of 2026.

THE SPACE

We are seeking a space with the following characteristics:

  • Interior space with large, light-colored walls suitable for displaying oversized artworks (some approx. 6 feet high x 12–15 feet wide, final sizes to be confirmed).

  • Natural and artificial lighting that supports visibility and ambiance (advanced gallery lighting not required).

  • Access for planning, installation, and deinstallation (schedule to be coordinated with your team).

  • Capacity to accommodate up to 150 guests for an opening night reception.

  • If the same is suitable, public accessibility for ongoing viewing during a two-month exhibition period (details for this would be confirmed with all parities prior to making this a public option)

  • Suitable parking

  • Secure premises with lockable access and a safe surrounding area for visitors.

  • A public-facing address appropriate for formal invitations and promotional material.

Please note: all event logistics, operations, and space cleaning will be managed entirely by the exhibition team.

VALUE TO CRUNKLETON

This collaboration offers Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate a unique opportunity to support the cultural life of Huntsville, activate one of your spaces in a dynamic way, and gain valuable exposure through an event that brings together art, nature, and community.

  • Brand Presence: Prominent recognition across all exhibition signage, printed materials, press releases, and digital marketing.

  • Event Photography: Full access to professionally captured images from the event, available for your use in marketing, communications, or internal documentation.

  • Original Artwork: As a gesture of appreciation, Charlotte Marie Isbell will gift an original artwork from the collection (valued at $5,000) to commemorate the collaboration.

  • Public Relations: Association with a high-profile cultural event, demonstrating support for community enrichment and creative partnerships.

  • Private Opening Night Access: You, your team, and your valued clients will be warmly invited to attend the exclusive opening night celebration.

  • Private Use Opportunity: Should you wish, the space may also be made available for a private Crunkleton-hosted event during the exhibition period—offering a unique and elevated environment to entertain clients, partners, or your internal team. The exhibition team can assist in facilitating this, making it a seamless experience.

  • Press & Marketing Approval: You and/or your team will have full access to all press and marketing materials prior to release.

  • Visibility Preferences: We are happy to tailor your level of public visibility—ranging from prominent branding to a more subtle or behind-the-scenes presence—based on your company’s preferences.

About the Artist

Charlotte Marie Isbell is an Australian-born artist based in Madison, Alabama. Working primarily with oil on canvas, her practice explores what it means to live fully in a woman’s body — to hold complexity, softness, memory, and movement in equal measure. Her paintings reflect an ongoing dialogue between internal experience and external environment, shaped by contrast, color, and the quiet rhythms of place.

Painting from her garden studio at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Charlotte draws deeply from nature — not only as subject, but as collaborator. Her work is grounded in personal experience and ecological awareness, offering layered, immersive pieces that invite reflection and resonance. While the Southern landscape holds her daily life, her perspective is shaped by time living in Australia, Europe, and the United States, creating a practice that is both rooted and cross-cultural.
